The settlement of Pevensey Bay lies behind and on the half shingle half sand beach. Although small, it is nevertheless a seaside resort in miniature, and has many of the facilities of its larger counterparts elsewhere. You will find a quiet village situated between the towns of Eastbourne and Hastings and the Bay itself has a shingle beach with flat sands at low tide that are ideal for sunbathing, swimming and windsurfing. Its popularity, especially for families with young children, lies in being natural and unspoilt, free from the noise and congestion of larger resorts. Swimming, boating, relaxing, long evening walks, warm lazy days, quiet tranquility, what more could you want from a Uk holiday.
Pevensey and Pevensey Bay are areas steeped in history, dating back to William the conqueor's infamous 1066 landing.
Pevensey Bay is also a short distance from the new Sovereign Harbour - The Waterfront is positioned conveniently by the Inner Harbour and boasting panoramic views of the marina. A relaxing haven for visitors and berth holders in which to unwind at the end of an exhilarating day. With its wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafés, it provides a mouth-watering choice of menus to keep you satisfied throughout your stay. Several Yacht Brokers are in residence, dealing in both new and used boat sales. A wide variety of goods and services are also available in The Waterfront’s other retail outlets including arts, crafts, interior design, designer clothing, health and beauty. Further local amenities are close-by at the adjacent Sovereign Retail Park. These include an Asda superstore a six-screen cinema, restaurant and other large stores.
